In the name of his most royal majesty, by the grace of God, the king of France, I request post haste your presence. For a great evil has descended upon Paris. The moon burns red and the city is pandemonium. Our bravest [music] knights have fled the royal court. The city watch has vanished. And those who remain hide in their homes in fear of a darkness greater than any pestilence or war. All trade and tax have ceased. Even the sacred power of our holy church, the kingdom's guiding light, waines in the absence of its tithe. We have sought every exorcist, every doctor, every scholar from the shores of Normandy to the peaks of the Alps to purge this invisible terror. All have failed. So now we appeal to you, Trevor Belmont, last of House Belmont, greatest of the vampire hunters. Title's land and gold will be yours should you deliver us from calamity. With the utmost urgency, the bishop of Paris, cannon of Notraam, Claude de Champi. Titles, land, gold. This bishop mistakes his desires for our own. That's not the only thing he's wrong about father. >> You're not the last Belmont anymore. Rose, there's a darkness here I haven't felt in a long time. Not since Wakia 20 years ago when Dracula returned. >> God willing, it's not happening again. The people of Paris are already suffering according to the bishop. Yes, there's something rotten with his letter. The situation is far worse than he says. >> You suspect a trap, father? >> Yes, but it's not a trap if we suspect a trap for us. It's >> a mystery to uncover. >> We should speak to the bishop and get to the bottom of this. Why don't you speak with the bishop, father? I'll see what's going on in the city. Maybe I can smoke out the truth. >> But >> I can handle myself. Let me show you. >> As you wish, Rose. But before you go, take these. Your mother made these tarot cards for you before she died. She wanted you to have them when the moment was right. She never told me why. or what they can do, but I cannot think of a better time. >> Mother, thank you, father. I promise I'll look after them with my life. >> You've proven yourself a formidable vampire, hunter, Rose. I suppose it's time you learn to work alone. After all, I won't be around forever. Someone needs to carry on the family work. >> Don't say that. I still have much to learn from you. >> Give it time, Rose. Are you sure you can handle yourself? Your curse. >> Yes, I'll be fine. You trained me well. >> Then let us get to work. You investigate what's happening in the city while I speak to the bishop. I'll find you when I finished. Mother's tarot cards. I can feel magic. Not much, but a little. She must have enchanted them. I wish I had known her. If it wasn't for me, she might still be alive. The cursed card contains a spell, but it looks like mother didn't finish the other ones. Huh? Huh? Yes. [groaning] [screaming] Huh? Huh? Get hurt. I help you. There's nothing here. Nothing except this large gate. If my cards led me here, there must be something on the other side. There you are. You must be the one tormenting the city. What? Nothing to say. >> Give me your soul. >> Come and get it. Hat So close. Success. Heat. Heat. The monster dropped this gem. And what's this? One of mother's cards has changed. The fallen card now shows a picture of the monster. >> Where am I? >> The monster's voice. I can hear it inside my head. How many more surprises do these cards hold? Looks like I've captured you, monster. Who are you? >> I I do not remember. It is as if I was trying to recall the dream long forgotten. You don't remember who you are or what you did? >> I remember we killed innocents for their souls. Commanded by a voice I could not disobey. >> We >> two others two other guardians gather souls as well and keep the other keys for the gate. Yes, that's it. We delivered souls of the Parisians down to the catacombs for our master. >> Then I need to find these other two guardians if I want to get into the catacombs to find this master. >> You do not doubt what I say. Perhaps I'm trying to trap you. >> It's not a trap. If I suspect a trap, it's just a mystery to uncover. That's too high even for me. If that other card gave me an ability, perhaps the card with the monster can too. >> It appears your tarot card allows you to use my powers. May have also freed my mind from a terrible curse. Father always said mother was a skilled magician, but I never expected these cards to be so powerful. Oh you Huh? Everywhere. No. Ah, speech speech. Yeeha! Fine. Father, so Much destruction. So many innocent dead. Your master will answer for this monster. >> We all must answer. But I sense a dark power in you. A deep quiet fury. Are you a vampire? Or perhaps some sort of monster like me? >> I am nothing like you. I am Rose Belmont of the Belmont family of vampire hunters. You're sensing the cursed mark on my arm. >> Belmont? You're a Belmont? >> Yes. My father is Trevor Belmont, the first man to kill Dracula. >> I see. So Dracula is dead. >> You sound relieved. Well, you shouldn't be monster. My parents and their allies defeated Dracula 23 years ago. But three years later, he came back only to be killed again. So the Belmonts must now always be ready. Ready to stand up against a knight with no dawn. >> I see. Belmont. >> What? >> Nothing. We should move on. >> Yes. I need to hurry and find the other two guardians and their keys. How are you feeling? go. I'm with you. Cow. It's almost I bet I could get a good view of the city from a top the tower over there. Maybe [music] I can spot the other guardian. >> Be careful, young Belmont. The climb is high and fire is fierce. >> Thanks, but I know what I'm doing. >> The light Huh? It's Oh no. Huh? No mercy. die. That's enough. No way. Come on. Come on. I am with you. Knock knock. Back off. Oh you Huh? Fire. Hunt. I am What happened? of the Cut. Don't rush. You'll all get your turn. Hello. Yes she What? Huh? Who stands before me? Another soul ready to give itself to the glory of France. >> Another soul? Who are you? Are you one of the guardians of the catacombs? >> Some call me the maid of Orleó. Others simply the maiden. But before God, I am Jean, >> Joan of Ark, the warrior who stood against the English. But you were taken prisoner and burned at the stake. >> So I was, but I was brought back to save the people and guide them to [music] a righteous banner. >> But you haven't been saving your people, Joan. You've been killing them. >> No. I slay invaders who set fire to Fa's sacred capital. >> Joan, listen to me. My name is Rose Belmont. I'm here to save the city, too. I just need your key. Belmont. The family of vampire hunters. Those who were banished for communing with dark and evil powers. You, you and your unholy family set Perry ablaze. No I You will not destroy France. Not while I still draw breath. The night protect you. Super flame protect you in your blood. >> [screaming] >> No. Another key. And Joan now appears on the warrior card. >> Perhaps you can use her arcane powers as well. I feel as though I've woken from a terrible, terrible nightmare. >> Are you claiming you did this unwittingly, too? Like the monster? >> What have I done? I I have killed my countrymen. >> Do you remember why you were collecting souls, Joan? For whom were you doing this? >> The lord hides the face of my former master. Even now, I am free from its dark voice. Dark voice. >> Yes. The voice that offered me salvation when I was on the P. A malevolent whisper that could shake the fate of even the holiest saints. I agreed to serve it in exchange for my life. >> I suspect this is the same voice who commanded me. >> Do you know where I can find the last key? I need to get into the catacombs. I patrolled the streets and rooftops. I imagine someone else watches the cemetery and its undercraftoft. Come on. Hey. Hey. Heat. Heat. No mercy. Hat. Yeah. fight. Huh? Oh no. Oh no. Don't rush. You'll all get your turn. [screaming] Die. Back off. [ __ ] Go away. [screaming] [groaning] >> [screaming] >> Not your night. All right. Knock knock the night. >> I will the custom. Kill. Ha! I am with you. Huh? The top of Sorry. >> [groaning] >> Hunt the night. Back off. Come die. I'm not trapped for you. You're me. [screaming] I am with you. Unnatural death lurks in this cemetery. Something more than mortal remains. >> The guardian of the next key. I bet I need to find them quickly. >> Before you continue, the cursed mark on your arm. Where does it come from? >> I was born with it. It came from my mother who was struck by Dracula's curse. Like Dracula, it feeds on hatred, anger frustration. But my father trained me to stay calm and prevent it from spreading. >> What happens if it spreads? >> Death. >> Take this. Be gone. Sorry. I'm with you. >> [groaning] >> My >> [groaning and screaming] >> Yeah. cut. Cut. go. Take this. Sorry. I No. No mercy. Take this. Huh? Take one. Cut. Knock knock. Die. Back off. You're gone. [screaming] >> [groaning] >> Back off. [screaming] Cut [screaming] away. [screaming] Hello there. No mercy. [screaming] Go away. >> [screaming] >> Disgusting. Take this. Cut. You'll all get your turn. >> No mercy. Die. Back off. Take this. I am with you. Come on, come. I should friends. [sighs] Hey I am with you. >> [groaning] >> I am with you. I'm not trapped with you. You're trapped with me. >> [groaning] >> hurts the night. [screaming] Not your name. Huh? Huh? H the night. Come on. >> I'm not trapped with you. You're trapped for me. Thanks for the warm up. Yeah cool. the night. Huh? You cannot >> [screaming] >> Huh? Huh? >> [groaning and screaming] >> Don't fight. Heat. Heat. Come here. These ruins are beautiful. A whole world beneath the feet of Paris. Overthrown by time and forgotten by dirt. Do you hear that? It sounds like >> snakes. So, the doomed Belmonts have finally arrived for my key. No one believed me when I said the newest Belmont would be a girl. But then again, no one believes me when I speak except the Lord of Darkness himself. Such as my curse. So, you're one of the guardians. My father told me about you, Medusa, a servant of Dracula who speaks nothing but lies. He also said you were dead. He should have looked closer. Your father and mother were fools to think they could defeat [music] me so easily. >> Seeing she is dead and he will face death soon, I will have to take my revenge out on you. for long my steel and stone shall break your bones. He is coming. No one shall stop him from here. >> Look into my eyes. [screaming] >> Sticks and stones shall break your bones. He is coming. No one shall stop you. Don't get poo. >> Uh-oh. Sticks and stones shall break your bones. >> He is coming. No one shall stop him. Stop. Medusa was absorbed into the prophetess card. And now I have the last key to the door. >> Admirable fighting, young Belmont. Another servant of sin destroyed before God's eyes. >> [laughter] >> My defeat as I foraw. The end of humanity approaches. >> You knew I would defeat you. Then why fight? >> Because it was written. The ritual has begun. We foster the darkness, agony, and despair in the souls that will bring him back. Him. The lord of darkness. Lord Dracula himself. >> So the darkness father sensed he was right. Is Medusa telling the truth? Joan monster is someone trying to bring Dracula back? >> God does not tell me if the prophetess speaks out of prophecy or opinion. >> No, I did not know of a plot to bring Dracula back. H >> Why does it feel like you're not telling me something, monster? If this was all written, Medusa, what is waiting for me in the catacombs? [laughter] >> You will have to see for yourself. >> I better open the gate and find out. Then Huh? Huh? Take this. Stand still. No way. >> [groaning] >> Back off. Huh? Help. Don't you all get your turn? Not your night. Time to find out if Medusa is telling the truth about reviving Dracula. >> Rose, wait. If someone or something means to resurrect Dracula, it is likely more powerful than you, even with our help. Perhaps you ought to find your father. >> No. I told father I can handle this myself. >> Be careful, young warrior. Victory will only be yours if your heart is pure and just. Yes. Nothing will stop you. The trap awaits. [snorts] >> It's not a trap, Medusa. It's a mystery to solve. And I will solve it. This place, it reeks of death. Yes, the victims of many horrible plagues. The remains were collected here. In the air's chill, we linger among rattling bones and white smiles. >> Head down, Belmont. Your fate is there, as well as certain death. >> Good thing I don't fear death. Ow. Hence this. Stand still. >> Stand still. Go away. Thank you. Back off. Stupid. Huh? Yes. Let's go. Huh? Yeah. Stand still. Ow. Come on. I feel [ __ ] [snorts] Take this. [screaming] Hurry. >> [screaming] >> I try. stop. Huh? go. Okay. Come on. [ __ ] Stop. Hey, huh? Huh? Come on. Take my stand. Stand still. Hello there. [music] [groaning] >> [screaming and groaning] >> You die. You're gone. No. Come here. Heat. Heat. [ __ ] Here. Come on. Come on. Knock knock. There will never be. Go away. [screaming] No mercy. Not your night. Perfect. trees. Get close. Help. Don't rush. You'll I'll get you. No mercy. >> [music] >> stand. [groaning] Thank you. Huh? Heat. Heat. [music] I smell [sighs] Belmont. Finally, >> it's it's you. My father told me about you. Dracula's strongest and most loyal servant. A powerful deity of the dead who pledged himself to his master for eternity. Your death. >> And you are not the Belmont who slew Dracula over once score years ago. That was my father and my mother. But I intend to stop you just like they did. [laughter] >> Father or daughter, young or old, blood is blood. And if you defeated my master's three servants up there, your blood must be hot and wet. >> I'm not afraid of you. The ritual is nearly complete. The misery of the people has fueled my fire. And the Belmont brings her blood. Now Dracula will return and the cascade of dead will flow to me once more. >> Not if I can help it. These catacombs will be your grave. >> [laughter] >> A grave for death. What a charming idea. I like you, little bell pond. Let us get to know each other better before I bleed you. Feel the cold touch of death. You fight as I would expect a young huntress to, little Belmont. >> No, I can defeat you. I will defeat you. >> I see what you really are. You're a little flower struggling towards the light. But you forget looming over you is us, mightier oaks and maples. Know your place, little flower, for it remains in the shadows. >> I am not a little flower. I I am Rose Belmont. >> So you are, for that is why you are here. so that you may welcome the Lord of Darkness himself. Heat. [music] [music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [music] [music] Oh, yes. [music] For with the blood of the great adversary, the sanguine fluids of House Belellmont will the king of vampires, the lord of darkness, count Dracula, >> [music] >> return to his full indomitable power. [groaning] >> I may have failed my father, >> but he can still stop you. You didn't fail me, Rose. >> Foolish Trevor Belmont. Your arm was more useful than your daughter. >> Father, are you all right? Rose, whatever you do now, remember your duty. Don't give in to your darkness and don't look back. >> Father, no. >> No, mother. [crying] You can't do this. I am so sorry, Rose, but your father's sacrifice was good and noble. We should pray for his soul in this time of tragedy. >> The loss of Trevor Belmont is a loss for all humanity. >> Oh night, oh darkness, Dracula and his castle rise again. Soon the world will know it was this Belmont who let the knight return. >> Ross, your arm, your curse. >> No, I cannot let my father die. Not now. Not yet. >> I cannot be the last Belmont. >> Gross. You are not the last Belmont. He still lives. Who pledged the Belmonts to hunt the knight? Who created the whip your father [music] yielded against death? >> What? What are you saying? Who are you? >> I am the one who plunged our family into this cycle of violence. I am your ancestor, Leon Belmont. And you are not alone, >> Leon. But you died four centuries ago. >> I should have. But Dracula used my desire for justice and revenge and cursed me with extended life. Only by your hand and your mother's cards is my mind now free. >> No, that can't be. If Dracula could control Leon, then he can control me. I I cannot believe this. No, it's impossible. This monster tried to kill you, Rose. It is another trick. >> I feel he speaks true, Rose. While the flame of truth burns in [music] times of grief, it is better to light the dark than hide in its shadow. It doesn't matter. Dracula's curse killed my mother. His servant killed my father. So, I'm going to find a way to kill Dracula for good. Huh? What is this place? the crossroads of mortality and the great beyond. >> Does that make you [music] a servant of death? >> No, but we know each other well. I f the souls he harvests. Honest work I do for the dead and dying. I need to get to the surface, old man. >> You sound like you're in a hurry. But as you say, I am only a frail old fairyman with a leaky boat. >> The fate of the world hangs in the balance. Take me up to the streets now. >> Rose, your curse. >> Old man, my father is dead because of me. A great evil has arisen in the city of Paris. I need to get up there and write these wrongs. [laughter] >> I knew a man like you once. A man who in his grief opened the door to darkness and sank himself into the abyss. But there might be hope for you yet. If the heaviness in your heart doesn't sink my boat, then I will take you to the good place you seek. I will be waiting for your next trip. Perhaps it will be your last. [crying] My coins. Have you seen my coins? >> Your coins? >> Yes. The fairs the dead give me for passage from this world. Someone has stolen them. The souls of Paris cannot cross into the underworld without their tolls of passage. Dracula's castle. I can feel Rose burn with hatred, resentment, and a lust for revenge. >> Rose, even if you reach the castle, you cannot face Dracula like this. You will only become a puppet for him, like me. >> Listen to him, Rose. Leon is trying to help you. We must stop your curse if you are to face Dracula. My father already tried to find a cure. First for my mother, then for me, but nothing worked. >> What was her name? >> Cipher Belnades. How did she die? >> Because of you, Rose. Giving birth to you weakened Cipher and eventually allowed the curse to win her life. >> Yes, her death. It was my fault. Just like my father's. >> Rose, your father chose to sacrifice himself so you could live. Just as your mother chose to give you life. >> Rest assured, Rose. Dracula will reunite you with your father and mother soon enough. >> Do not listen to Medusa. We will find a way to stop your curse. If your mother's cards save Joan and I, there must be something out there to help you. >> I need to get to the castle. Back off. Go. >> [screaming and groaning] >> Huh? Go. Heat. Heat. Heat. Hey, heat. Hey, heat. I'm not trapped for you. You're trapped with me. Yes. No mercy. [screaming] Praise God. The tree of justice still stands. It looks like someone's inside of it. >> Something dark roots his aura to the tree. >> The master put him here. Only a balance of justice can bring him [music] back to the light. Huh? Huh? Stand still. [screaming] [music] Time. Come on. It's I'm not trapped with you. You're trapped with me. Not your night. Dracula's castle is just ahead. I will make sure what my parents did to protect me was not in vain. >> Rose, your curse is feeding on your pursuit of revenge. You cannot let it consume you. >> I told you already. There's nothing I can do to stop it. >> There's always a way through the darkness, Rose. Let me help you. >> How do you expect me to believe you're truly Leon Belmont? >> The wick your father yielded. I suspect only the Belmonts know how it was created. >> Yes, it is a closely guarded family secret. >> Then this legend should [music] tell of a woman's sacrifice. The woman who so created the whip. >> Correct. So Leon could defeat a great evil. But does the family [music] legend say who she was? She was my beloved. The woman I was to marry. Her name was Sarah Tranul. >> Only Leon or a Belmont would know that. But why didn't you say anything before after I captured you? >> When you first said Belmont, I remembered who I was. But I was overtaken by shame. Shame that I >> gave into Dracula's domination. Neither Belmont nor Mau can escape him. Leon is the proof. You are next Rose. >> Then the only thing I can do is kill Dracula before the curse kills me. Take this. >> [screaming] >> Take this. Back off. No mercy. Go away. Come on. Come on. Hello there. Die. [screaming] No mercy. [screaming] >> [screaming] >> away. Thanks for the warm up. Huh? I know only one who could cut through a horde of monsters like that. >> Who is this? >> I am Rose Belmont. Stand aside or I'll cut you down like the rest. Oh, how fun. I've always wanted a pet Belmont. >> A Belmont? Then I will have my redemption. Never will I let another reach Lord Dracula. This fight is mine. Carmela, >> you're no son, Isaac. See that you send the [music] girl to me and finish with her then. Alive, preferably. You look more like a little girl running around with a family crest than one ready to enter my lord's castle. >> I am no little girl. My father is Trevor [music] Belmont, the first to kill Dracula. I intend to be the one to destroy him forever. >> Sounds like the Belmont wants to give us more blood. Death already took all he needed from your father. >> Rose, your arm. He's baiting you. I don't care. >> He'll suffer the same fate I intend to inflict on Dracula. >> I'll show you what suffering really is. This What happened? Foolish Belmont. You will never reach Dracula if you cannot see past his deceptions. Death bound my soul to this castle. I am just an illusion. My true body guards Dracula in the clock tower while he garners his full strength. If you think yourself strong enough, face me there. If you can find the way that is. [laughter] Rose, watch out. >> You You saved me. Why? The magic of your tarot cards alerted me, so I called out. >> Are you truly Leon Belmont? >> I swear on every Belmont who has lived and died in all those yet to come. I am. >> Part of me still cannot believe it. But thank you, Leon. >> You are the only hope for humanity and our family. Now, Rose, I will do whatever I can to help you. >> I should head inside and figure out what to do next. Dracula's castle. How unreal it feels to finally set foot in here. >> It is good to be back. >> What a serene yet severe chateau. Isaac said Dracula was still building his power. If I strike Dracula now, I can finish this before he becomes too powerful. >> It sounds as though you do not trust your own abilities. >> No, I God has given you another chance, Rose. You must use it wisely [music] to better control your curse and strengthen yourself. >> Father already trained me to control my curse. >> But the closer you get to Dracula, the more difficult it will be. the more your inner darkness will rage inside you. So you must not only control it. >> You must conquer your darkness. >> How do I do that? >> You must show the forces that serve the darkness that you are stronger than them. >> Perhaps mother's cards can help me, too. There are still many to reveal. >> Do not listen to them. Your anger and hatred are all the strength you need to avenge your father. >> The choice is yours, Rose, but I believe you must find a way to deal with your curse. >> Only then will you be able to defeat Dracula. >> Then hopefully for good. For the day I go I wish we Don't Get out of here. Quick stop. >> [groaning and screaming] >> I'm much slow. You will know something. >> [groaning] >> No mercy. Take this. I don't wish any Come on. Huh? Huh? I'm with you. Go away. Ow. [screaming] Huh? Huh? Back off. Oh, Y huh? Let's go. Come on. Go. Yeah. Hu. Huh? Yuck. >> [music] >> die. Sands in freeze. go. Go away. >> [music] >> Huh? [music] Okay. Come here. You child, get me out of this mirror. >> Who are you? I am Elenor of Aiten, once queen of England and of France. >> Elanor? But how is that possible? Perhaps Dracula controls her as he once controlled me. >> Maybe, but there's something different about her. >> Do not question the queen, child. You would be wise to respect me. Now, get me out of here. All right. All right. But I need to figure out how you got into that mirror in the first place. Did no one ever teach you to kneel before royalty? Go. No mercy. [groaning] >> [screaming] [screaming] >> You Wow. Go. Good one. [screaming] >> [screaming and groaning] >> H. Huh? Y go. Head check. Go. Sit back, relax, and don't fall off. go. H go over. Take this. Die. My name is Heat. Heat. No. Go. Wow. Go go go. Hat. Hop. Come on. Go. Go. >> [screaming] >> No mercy. Back off. Back off. Die. [groaning] Hat go. [groaning] Go. H wa. Touch hop Get hop. Okay. You're gone. [screaming] Y go. Come here. [music] Hat. Yeah. No mercy. Go. Go away. [screaming] Stand still. Get [ __ ] >> [groaning and screaming] >> Get Go. Honest. The castle is vast and dark. Get stop. Knock Knock and trip. Stand still. Huh? Ha! I am not sure. [music] [snorts] Heat. Heat. Take this. >> [groaning] >> No mercy. Go away. Go away. Back off. >> [screaming] >> Timeless. Heat. Ah, >> the Belmont girl. How beautiful you look in the moonlight. You are proving yourself a powerful warrior, even if you did fall for Isaac's shade. I can help you with his tricks if you desire. >> Your seductions won't work on me, Carmela. A shame because it has been so boring being locked in this castle. Much time and little to do. Idle hands are the lifeblood of Vice. And yet, with only a few books on hemtomancy and some unwilling donors. I have summoned [music] a blood moon to give Dracula an eternal night. You are just in time to see it complete. It will be a pleasure to stop you, Carmela. >> All pleasures have sacrifices, and there are no sacrifices without blood. >> Our hearts will bleed together. Afraid to die, the blood will flow. Same time will blow straight to attack. Yes, [groaning] go. The blood will flow. Afraid to die. The blood is You die say that one. Dang [music] one. Woo! Heat. Heat. You may have stopped me, but you cannot stop Lord Dracula. Unless, have you ever considered becoming a vampire yourself? With our power and your training, you could defeat Dracula yourself. Without a doubt, you could end your family's eternal feud. Be forever known as the Belmont who stopped him. You could rule the castle >> by becoming the very thing I am meant to destroy. My bite is gentle rose. Leon Belmont's beloved became a vampire. Why shouldn't you? >> My beloved did not give herself to the darkness. Rose, she sacrificed herself for the light. >> Is the world truly saved? If even one soul must sacrifice itself to stop evil, >> I would give anything to defeat Dracula. But this way would only lead to more suffering and darkness. Think about it, Rose. I will be here if you change your mind. Oh yeah. Come. Can't. Wow. Oh, I I seem to have lost some of my coins. No, they're not here either. Freeze. Okay. Huh? Huh? [ __ ] >> [screaming] [screaming] >> Stand still. [screaming] Come here. Huh? Help. Go. Get one. North Heat. Heat. What? No mercy. Die. [groaning] [screaming] Back off. Gone. Sand go. Yeah. Back off. [screaming] die. No mercy. Huh? Stand still. Back off. Back off. Come No mercy. [screaming] Take your back. Huh? Get you. Huh? Heat. What's going on in here? I was promised silence. I was promised peace. I have towels to build and wings to design. I cannot be bothered by petty distractions. >> Who are you? >> John Dean, an architect and engineer who will leave his mark on the world. But now I have been born again as Talos. >> You cannot just wipe out all of Paris for your vanity. >> Enough of this bother. Time to be rid of disruptions. I won't even need my legs to deal with you. >> I am better than this. Time to build. Go. Huh? Come on. I am better than this. Waste of time. Fire [groaning] go. Go. [groaning] No. You're guts for my mortals. 2 m. Heat. Heat. What has happened? Why am I in here? I cannot work while trapped in this prison. >> You should be thanking us, Talos. You're free from Dracula's control. >> Your [clears throat] petty mind could not understand. I pledged myself in [music] exchange for freedom from insufferable details and vexing collaborations. I built this castle for him willingly. >> It seems that Talos has no shame. >> I still do not understand this weakness humans have to make these mistakes. A [snorts] lifetime of good works sold to evil. At least you are trying to atone for your mistakes, Leon. >> Yes, I suppose that is true. >> It appears Dracula's curse reflects the darkness of the [music] cursed. I became a monster. Talos became a hollow set of armor. >> Perhaps because Talos's obsession deprived him of his soul. >> What am I supposed to do in here? There's nothing to do. I need work. Heat. Heat. What? Come. Yeah. Huh? Heat. Heat. The clock ticks with a deathly sound. >> The clock tower lies ahead. Isaac should be there. and Dracula. >> You may turn back if you do not feel ready Rose. >> Foolish, but welcome. Give the master more time to build his power. >> Or for Rose to build more of her own. Rose, something is wrong with this place. It's some sort of trap. You should turn back before it's too late. >> But Dracula is close. I can feel him. >> Do not dither, robots, before your curse takes hold of you. >> Don't listen to Medusa. We will not be able to help if you continue like this. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. In the name of Trevor Belmont and Cipher Belnades, River Terry Adenebras Dracula. I did it. I did it. I [laughter] killed him. It's over. [laughter] Foolish little flower. No, but I killed you. This This can't be happening. I father mother [music] Hurry. While you toiled uselessly in my trap, your father's blood restored Lord Dracula's power. Now you and the rest of humanity are doomed. [groaning] How easily anger blinds the vindictive and how their ends are most unfortunate. Heat. Heat. Go away. Huh? Ah, goodness. Come. It's Get you. >> [music] >> I know you're here, Talos. You big [ __ ] Wait, you're not Talos. >> Who are you? >> Who am I? Who am I? You uninspiring ignorant. I am painter, sculptor, polymath, artiste, Dracula's resident, Vampirus Aspet. I am Bronner, and you [music] have ruined my latest maretra, my second masterpiece. >> What? That hunk of rock I just smashed. >> Hunk of Prepare to fight, Nave. >> All right. >> No, please. Here, take my power. Just don't hurt me again. Your Arcanum better be more powerful than you are, Bronner. >> He was certainly not a foe worthy of someone who will take down Dracula. >> Wait a moment. You mean to fight Lord Dracula? >> I mean to kill Dracula. >> You should have told me. I can help. >> Broner, you snake. Why would you help me defeat Dracula if you serve him? Dracula's apocalyptic goals will deprive the world of the subjects I admire most, humans and their suffering. So, someone needs to unseat him and wield the power of this castle to its full artistic potential. I serve him as a means to an end. The closer I am to the castle, the closer I am to seizing its power. >> There's nothing more vile than someone who recognizes suffering and does nothing to stop it. >> The world needs protection from people like Bronner. >> Yes, but are we not doing the same thing? Accepting his help, using him as a means to our ends. [music] >> We will never be like Bronno Leon. We do not take pleasure from pain. >> You ought to try, but I will help you ignorees regardless. >> Rose, if you mean to face your adversary, look closely at the newest addition to the art gallery. If you possess my special [music] tool, perhaps you will be taken in by my art. >> [laughter] >> What's with the painting of Notradam, [music] Bronner? A trophy for your master. I didn't paint it, Belmont. The subject simply fell into frame. [laughter] Not that I could have because someone stole my brush. >> Yes, when you were chasing Talos out of his workshop, I may have passed [music] your studio to borrow it for my ritual. >> Aha! I knew it was you, Camila. You treacherous, blood sucking hemophile. >> I bet there's more to [music] it than meets the eye. go. Yeah. Yeah. is here. Let me know. die. Huh? >> [groaning] >> Come on. Come on. Go. alive. >> [screaming] >> fly. Okay. I want to go. Huh? Get it. >> [screaming] >> Go away. No mercy. Oh no. Don't rush. You'll all get your turn. Back off. No mercy. Disgusting. Go away. Back off. Come on. Okay. Go die. Take this. alive. Come Come on. Come on. Hand. It's [snorts] my way. Go you. Huh? Huh? >> What is this place? It is a chappel dedicated to the four cardinal virtues. >> Father used to say my mother was the most virtuous person he had ever met. I can't say I've taken after her in that regard. >> Just as every saint has a past, Rose, every sinner has a future. [snorts] Hey, I >> [music] >> You'll all get your turn. >> I will. I am. You're gone. A catch that [screaming] No mercy. Back off. No [screaming] mercy. Oh, the souls are not happy. Someone has stolen their [music] coins. Oh god, you're gone. alive. [screaming] Take this. Huh? Ow. [screaming] Help. You'll all get your turn. Go away. Get out. [screaming] Come. Huh? Oh no. Come on. Come here. I should never. Come on. Ha. Father, You're alive. >> Barely. The Belmont's lifeblood is hardly more than a trickle. Rose, >> I won't make the same mistake again. >> You must have defeated Taros, Bronner, and Carmela to get here. Weak as they are, they bought me time to complete my work to bring Dracula to his full power with the help of Belmont blood. Your power grows too little, flower. Dracula will be happy to have a new Belmont monster to serve him. >> I know what Dracula did to Leon Belmont's death. So, you see that not even your family can resist Dracula's curse. Even your father, who defeated Dracula, is helpless. >> Dracula may have controlled Leyon. You may have wounded my father, but neither of you can kill their spirits. The darkness can be stopped. Just like I stopped Talos, Bronner, and Carmela. Just like I will stop him. You are no more than an irritating thing. What makes you think you can stop me this time? >> Because that's why you're wrong. I'm not just a thing. I am a human. And humans learn from their mistakes. >> Perhaps you simply do not know enough about death. So, let me show you. Don't fall in Belmont. >> [music] >> You have the cold touch of death. You cannot die. [groaning] >> Don't fall. [screaming] Little Belmont. You think you can hurt me? [screaming] Nobody runs from me. >> You think you can hurt me? Me? Almost like a real little bell. Death cannot die. It's >> like a real hunter. >> You're doing fine. >> Nobody runs from me. >> [screaming and groaning] >> Almost like a real hunter. That's it. I did it. >> Foolish Belmont. Do you really think you can trap me in your little cards? I am death. And you are too late. The blood of your father has already unlock the curse of Dracula, stored away here by the human traitor. And now it will restore my master to his full power. >> His power doesn't matter. I will still defeat him. >> I shall be waiting for you, Rose Belmont, in hell. Rose, >> father, I'm coming. I'm afraid I won't be of much use to you now Rose. Not that you need me anymore. >> All I need is for you to rest and get better. Mother's tarot cards turned out to be a big help. Did you know anything about the magic she put in them? >> She made them when I was looking for a cure to her curse. The only thing she said was that they would help you in a time of great need. >> There's so much I want to tell you, father, about the cards and their powers. But >> Dracula, >> I wish mother was here. If it wasn't for me, I'm sure she'd find a way to stop Dracula in the curse. >> What are you saying, Rose? >> It was giving birth to me that ultimately weakened her and killed her. She would have lived otherwise. >> No, Rose. It was Dracula's curse that killed her, not you. She knew she was going to die no matter what. The last thing she would have wanted was for you to blame yourself for that. >> Even if I can't cure my curse, I want to stop Dracula from harming anyone else. >> So do I. Rose, where's my whip? >> Death dropped it. Here. Once your arm is healed, I'm sure you'll be able to use it again. >> Keep it. My injury is too serious. I can no longer fulfill the Belmont pledge to hunt the knight. So, the duty passes to you. Now, >> I won't let you down, father. >> It's not about proving yourself. You've shown you're a worthy leader of the Belmont family. You've shown you can control your curse. But now you need to stop Dracula's curse from spreading more despair and misery again. We can kill Dracula, but we need to stop him for good. Or else humanity will remain trapped in this cycle forever. >> It's not a trap if we know it's a trap. >> It's a mystery to be solved. >> [music] [music] >> Huh? Huh? Huh? Yeah. What? Come on. Help me. for you. Yeah. Come here. Yeah. Huh? Huh? Knock knock. [screaming] Go away. [screaming] No mercy. Thanks for the warm up. Oh god. >> [screaming] >> Go away. A [screaming] go. Good. Don't rush. You'll all get your turn. Die. Gone. Okay. You go. Not your night. Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? I want you. Stop it. >> [screaming and groaning] >> Back off. Go. Quick. couldn't come. out of the way. Yeah. strength. Strength is not enough to draw Excalibur. One must also be strong of heart and mind. >> Then what do I need to >> Did you know the fences in Castile are at least 8 ft high? >> What? >> And all in the golden afternoon, do we fight and die and boil eggs? Leon, do you know what he's saying? >> I believe he's mad. >> Mad? A king cannot be mad. He may be tired, but he may not be mad. And not that there'd be anything wrong with that. >> This guy [music] is a king. >> He certainly thinks he's one. >> What? You didn't vote for King Arthur? Then off with your head. I'll fight you and all the other ones, too. [screaming] >> [screaming] >> H go. Ow. >> You're in But how? I am the mythical, magical, [laughter] mighty king, Arthur of all the little legends. I think you're a soul who has spent too much time trapped in a window. >> Yes, you're probably right. >> Do you remember when Dracula captured you? >> Not at all. My head is full of air and nonsense. But now I've seen the light as it were. Allow me to serve you to make up for the evil I did. >> Uh, sure. While he may be odd, Arthur here is proof that souls may change for the good. >> Yes, I suppose he is. >> [groaning] >> Huh? Huh? Good job. I'm not trapped for you. [screaming] Take this shot. No mercy. You won't for me. Go away. Not your night. CL. The castle is vast and dark. Watch your step. [snorts] Yeah. Wow. >> [groaning] >> Huh? Ha. Huh? coming. I'm here. Go. Come on. Come on. New York. >> [snorts] >> [ __ ] Huh? Get out. No mercy. >> [screaming] >> Ha. Five. Quick. Huh? Yes. >> [screaming] >> H Oh, it's crazy. Come. Ow. Huh? Yeah. Damn it. Huh? Huh? Come on. Yeah. Huh? Heat. I can feel death's power here. >> So can I. But before we go further, I'm sorry I didn't believe you before. Leon, >> you're right to question me. I would have been suspicious had my 400-year-old ancestor presented himself to me, [music] too. >> I have so many questions about you. >> But first, you have a vampire to kill. Get die. H go. Huh? Come here. Yep. No mercy. Go. Don't hurt me. Hello there. [screaming] >> [screaming] >> Oh no. Take this. Go. die. [screaming] Take this. Go away. Huh? You're alive. [screaming] Back off. [screaming] You're gone. Hats go. Huh? Back off. you. Huh? Huh? >> [groaning] [screaming] >> go. You go. Huh? [groaning] Huh? Heat. Heat. The prodal daughter returns. You found a way past the trap and my dark lord's servants. Well done, Rose. >> How are you still alive, Isaac? My father told me you were killed years ago. >> Just as I came within a breath of killing your father. I too came close to my demise. But death preserved my soul so that I could continue to serve. >> Don't you know I bested death to come here? If I can be him, what chance do you have? >> If you only cared as much for your mother and father, you would have avenged them already. >> You can't bait me again, Isaac. >> You cannot stop him, Belmont. No one can. I will not even permit you the chance to try. It's the final cross. You shall not [groaning and screaming] pass. You think you can hurt me? Here I come. You shall not pass. >> You think you can hurt me? Here. You shall not pass. You think you can leave me. Here I come. You shall not pass. [screaming] You think you're going to hurt. But how? I don't know. I >> Why do you fight for Dracula, Isaac? >> Because I want to show him what I am capable of. >> Perhaps you've already shown him everything you are. >> No, I'm better than this. I know I am. Despite everything you've done, Isaac, I believe you deserve pity, more than any of Dracula's servants. Be gone. Back off. Die. Get Go away. Free go. Come on. >> [screaming] >> Oh, freaky. [screaming] Thanks for the warm up. Oh, I I seem to have lost some of my coins. Rose, whatever happens, you have done well. >> Thank you, Leon, for all your guidance. Without you, I wouldn't have made it this far. Can we get a move on, please? You stole a great and epic battle. >> For once, I agree with Medusa. Onwards to glory. Yes, let's finish this. Heat. Heat. So, the cursed Belmont approaches. In humanity's death rows, there is no other champion but the woman with my curse pulsing through her young veins. The last Belmont who will witness how all will succumb to the night. >> No, I have come here to destroy you. Just like my father, mother, and their allies before me. >> They may have killed me once. And yet I remain just as my curse shall remain until you give in to what you resist. >> I do not resist my darkness. I control it >> for now. But the rest of humanity lacks [music] your resolve. For they are miserable, tiresome, awful creatures no better than animals. Your efforts against me have been futile. Belmont, let me show you why. die. I have had enough. Ashes. Ashes. Following my revelation, >> that's it, Dracula. It's over. >> It is not over, Belmont. You may think you know the shadows that stride behind you or rise to meet you. But the dust of this form will [snorts] show you true fear. You cannot slay the knight. >> [music] >> You bring me. Die. >> I am Rose Belmont and I will hunt the knights. Four. You may have defeated my body, but my curse will ravish the lands like a plague. It will not kill with pestules and bupos, nor raging fever or mutilating malaise, but embolden the malignance of men, women, and children until the wickedness you claim to have conquered returns me once more. Goodbye, cursed Belmont. >> The curse. I need to stop it. >> You do not have enough power to stop the Rose. >> There must be a way. >> Rose, protect yourself before it's too late. >> What's happening, Leon? What's going on? >> This is not our doing. Your mother's cards are acting on their own. >> Like your father said, Rose, they are protecting you. >> Perhaps your mother saw the future as I do. >> Excellent. The Belmonts will live to fight another day. >> But Dracula's curse remains. >> The curse will stay far beyond Baris. No, there must be a way to stop it. >> [music] [music] >> I never Thought I would see this day. >> You did it, Rose. Dracula is defeated. The city is saved. >> For now, and while we may have saved some, the curse still remains. As long as it does, the world's misery and evil will only get worse. Dracula has swed the seeds for his return. >> That is why we have to keep fighting for peace. You will find a way to stop the curse. Rose, I know you will. >> No matter how long it takes, I will fight until Dracula and his curse are gone forever. while I still have help. >> It may seem far away, Rose, but one day the world will see the morning dawn. >> I know. >> Hopefully, I'll be here to see it. Roll, roll, roll my boat. Gently down to hell. Stop. You Woo! Where? Where the hell is the Cover me. I'm happy. Go. All right. I'm not trusting you. You're trapped. throw [screaming] away your ass die. Go. Huh? Yeah. Come on. Get [ __ ] >> [screaming] >> Run me. Come on. Huh? Let's go. The darkness of my mind, it has passed like a vaporous garment dissolved by the warmth of day. The scales, the scales of justice were unbalanced. But I see justice restored once more. Who has done this? [snorts] >> I did. But what interest does a tree have in justice? >> Tree? I am no tree. I am Primus Inter Paris, the most Christian King Louie of House Cape. And who are you? You who act so selflessly toward the souls of France. Who has awakened me? >> Rose Belmont of House Belmont. >> Belmont. The family of vampire hunters. Baron Leon Belmont disobeyed the church. He allowed a great evil to prosper. He is here now. I believe >> I am. And it's true. I had a greater call to answer. For better or worse. >> Leon's soul remains unjudged. King Louie. Justice will become unbalanced again if you do not hear the case against him and his clan. >> If this creature believes there is justice yet unresolved, let her speak. You may defend your clan. Rose Belmont, >> you can hear what Medusa is saying. and Leyon. >> Justice may be blind, but it hears all. >> The Belmont legacy is begat from wrath and death. Leon killed an innocent woman to create their family's whip. Further, how can the Belmonts claim they opposed Lord Dracula? If Leon's actions 400 years ago helped him secure his power. Not only that, but Leon helped death kill the Parisians to bring back Lord Dracula. >> The innocent Parisians, the death of my beloved. I did allow Dracula to exist. It is all true. I am guilty of these crimes. Sending the interest of justice Leon Belman. I sentence you and your clan to death so this cycle of violence may end. >> Hold on. Leon's betrothed [music] sacrificed herself willingly. Leyon didn't want to kill her. Leon did not willingly create Dracula either. Nor did he willingly kill the Parisians. Without willing intent, there is no crime. Isn't that right, >> San Louie? >> Nonfeta. The act is not culpable unless the mind is guilty. So you argue Leon is innocent. >> No one is innocent. None of us. But Leyon is atoning. My father killed Dracula, and I intend to destroy him once and for all. >> So, you promise to succeed where Leon [music] and Trevor Belmont could not. >> Impossible. Rose will never do it. Do not believe her. >> I swear it. Even if it's not me, in my lifetime, the Belmonts will find a way to stop Dracula [music] for good. >> Actions weigh heavier than wards, and both you and your actions have spoken in the name of justice. Show the world that the Bellmonts are the light of the future. Thank you, Rose. You have saved our family. >> You would have done the same, Leon. What will you do now, son Louie? >> Justice is restored. Dracula's gripe on me is gone. So I offer my power to you, Rose, so that you may continue to fight in the name of justice. Come on. Huh? Sit back, relax, and don't fall off. I'll be here waiting. >> [screaming] >> Yep. [screaming and groaning] Huh? Huh? Huh? >> [music] >> Huh? Yummy. go down. No mercy. Go away. [screaming] H go. [groaning] [crying] >> [screaming] >> H. Huh? Go. [screaming] Huh? Hop. Yeah. All right. H Help [screaming] go. Get out. [music] Go. Aha. Get Take this. Go! Help! >> [groaning] >> go. [groaning and screaming] Pow. Stop here. All I I seem to have lost some of my coins. Huh? Where am I? Rose, who's there? >> It's me, Rose. Your mother. I've come home. >> Mother? But how? You died. Father told me you died from Dracula's curse. No, Rose. Your father lied. I'm alive. I've been looking for a cure to our curse. And now I have it. I can save us both from this terrible affliction. A cure to my curse. But how? It's simple, Rose. Embrace your darkness. >> What? >> Take my hand, Rose, and we will embrace our curses together. Only then will you be able to defeat Dracula. My father would never lie to me. My mother died resisting the curse, not giving into it. [laughter] Most humans are unwilling to see beyond their desires. Too bad I almost turned you into his servant. You may be strong of mind to have defeated so many of Dracula's servants, but how's your body? >> [screaming] >> Good morning. A drink [groaning and screaming] like this. You're dangerous and your nightmare. How I like [groaning and screaming] [screaming] >> I like that. >> [screaming] >> annoying. [screaming] How I like that. [groaning and screaming] No, I was so close. If [laughter] I had brought Dracula, a Belmont servant, surely he would have loved me again. My father trained me in more than just the whip and the sword. He trained my mind too. >> A human mind is only as powerful as its resistance to temptation. Sooner or later, we all give in to lust. Lust for another. Lust for glory. Lust for revenge. Because it feels good to just let go. To let desires, anger, frustration run rampant like dogs released for the hunt. Rose is no animal. She is on her way to conquering that which you seek to bring out of her. >> It's sad in a way. This demon is obsessed with Dracula, not out of malice, but out of love. something that we all understand. Even Dracula >> [snorts] >> free. Go away. Knock knock. My god, that is [music] [screaming] Go. [snorts] Huh? Come on. Hop. Take this. >> [groaning] >> Go away. Go. [screaming] Come at me. Huh? Yeah. [screaming] Yeah. [music] You're not Go go go. Okay. go [screaming] you [ __ ] I'm not Hat. Huh? Yuck. Huh? >> [screaming and groaning] >> H stop. >> [groaning] >> Where? Take [groaning] gone. Back off. [screaming] Woo! Freaky. Here you [music] So go. attack. Hey, please. Huh? Huh? Come here. >> [groaning] >> No mercy. I am sure you know there H >> [groaning] [groaning] >> No mercy. [groaning] Excuse me. >> [music] >> Come here. >> [groaning and screaming] >> Huh? Huh? Cut it. Huh? >> [music] >> Go up here. >> [groaning] >> Come on, boy. Get go. Huh? for now. [snorts] [screaming] Ow! >> [music] >> Take this. No way. Damn it. How shining. Go go go. [groaning and screaming] >> [panting] >> Huh? >> [groaning] >> die. Go away. Where to? I'll be here waiting. Yeah. Huh? Yeah. Cut. Get An enemy has Not enough. Go away. [screaming] Here go. Hat go. Knock knock. No mercy. Back off. >> [screaming] >> Come on. Get away. One at a time or all at once? I don't mind. >> [music] >> Huh? Huh? Yeah. Not here. Heat. Heat. Yes. >> [groaning and screaming] >> Yeah. Yes. I'm not trapped with you. You're trapped with me. [groaning and screaming] Die. Come on. Thanks for the warm up. [screaming] Huh? >> [screaming] >> Huh? Woohoo! Back off! Come on. Where is he? Take this. So, you're the assassin. >> What makes you think I'm an assassin? The dark magic on your arm gives you away. Lord Dracula has sent you to punish me for my treachery. >> I'm Rose Belmont, and I'm going to kill Dracula. I suspect someone he locked up may have the same ambition. >> Ah, of course. You're the one who freed me from the Hall of Mirrors. >> Quite the prison. What did you do to deserve that? conspiring to stop Dracula's return. Unfortunately, I failed and was caught. >> But if you're working against Dracula, why keep you alive? Why not kill you, >> my dear? It is no simple feat killing a vampire, even for Lord Dracula. He is occupied right now by other affairs. You You're a vampire. >> I have lived two lives, Belmont. A short one as queen of both England and France, and a much longer one that began at the [music] end of my reign when Europe was on the brink of devouring itself. >> But why? How does the queen come to be corrupted by Dracula? I made a deal with Dracula so that I could continue to ensure the security and stability of the continent. But no, I see that siding with him was not wise. >> No, it was not. >> If you were me, what would you propose I do now? If you actually cared about the lives and safety of others, you would find a way to stop Dracula. >> I agree. But I am no fighter or hunter. I shall need a champion. That champion shall be you. >> Me? Do not let me down, Rose Belmont. The battle for my subject souls is at stake. You really don't waste time, do you? >> No, it wouldn't be prudent. Excuse Huh? Oo, Prince here. Yeah. Come on. Come on. Free behind you. Huh? I'm happy. >> [screaming] >> Retreat. [screaming] Huh? Huh? Who >> or what are you? No man can serve two masters, for he will hate the one and love the other. God ordained it right and good. The blood of martyrs be kept in gold vials and am for us. And so homage must be paid to these sacred vessels. >> This monster sounds like he's under some sort of curse. But it's not the same curse Joan and I suffered. It is the curse of delusion. >> We serve God through accumulating his bounty. By this path, we serve but one master. This is good. >> There's nothing good about you, whoever you are. I am Mammon and I will show you the true way. >> [groaning] >> No one takes from me. All will be mine. No [groaning] heat. You are a servant of Dracula and yet you speak like a man of the cloth. >> The claws of ignorance. The dark lord revealed the truths. I opened my heart to him and he rewarded me with a power greater than a simple bishop could master. >> You You're the bishop who wrote the letter to my father. >> Correct. Death needed the blood of a Belmont. He commanded me to write to you in exchange for the gold of the dead. Why not use my blood? >> Death needed the blood of the one who killed [music] Dracula or one of their offspring. I only wanted to do good. The people of Paris needed a savior, a benefactor to bring them out of poverty. >> The path to hell is [music] paved with good intentions. And I see how short that path is. All right. Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh? [ __ ] Come on. Come on. Ow. Hit that. Come on. Huh? I'm a team. Come on. I found your coins, fairy man. >> Huh? What? Where? >> In the catacombs. >> Wait here. The coins were found and the souls of the fallen have been fed to the afterlife. But who stole their tokens of passage? >> It was Mammon. >> The fool. Dracula's newest servant will not last long if he does not learn to leave the natural order of life and death alone. By aiding with the passage of the dead, you have performed the duty of a psychop. So I award you the power worthy of one. Go away. Oo here. Huh? Huh? You couldn't Come on. Huh? die. Come on. Get go. >> [groaning] >> No mercy. Freeze. Go. Yeah. All right. Yeah, good Huh? Come on. Huh? Huh? Oh, Huh? Back off. Die. Go. That was awesome. go. Yeah. Huh? Huh? Help. Help. Huh? Huh? [ __ ] No go. Go. You're Come. Huh? Good luck. No. Huh? >> [music] >> Knock knock. Take this. [screaming] [groaning] >> Thanks for the warm up. You would be wise to remember that the simple inherent folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Yeah. Huh? Good. Huh? Come on. Come on. You have proven yourself most prudent. Rose, I was wise trusting my soul to you after the grave mistake of thinking I could work with Dracula. >> Mistakes strengthen our prudence. They don't need to punish us. Well spoken, Rose. >> Helping you is not punishment, dear Belmont. It is my intentional attempt at redemption. Be blessed, Rose Belmont, with a virtue of prudence. Remember, Belmont [music] to do justice is more acceptable than sacrifice. Woo! Good. >> [screaming] >> No mercy. No way. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> No mercy. die. Stop. Take this. So go away. No go [screaming] here. >> [screaming] >> Woo! Oh, go break here. You have shown yourself a good judge, Rose Belmont. a judge of yourself, your enemies, and the world around you. >> Thank you, San Louie. >> But tell me, do you know the difference between justice and vengeance? >> Justice is about restoring balance. It is blind and impartial. Vengeance, Vengeance is a wild kind of justice done in the haste of passion. Does that satisfy [music] you, Saru? Ha, >> indeed it does. You may save us all yet, Belmont. Be blessed with the virtue of justice. back. You're back. Well done, Belmont. Your patience is well honed from the anger and pain I saw in you before. I met a man a long time ago who was also driven by the raw power of his emotions. Like you, he sought revenge for the loss of a loved one. It carried him to a dark place. a very dark place. >> Our hearts are powerful things, but that power needs balance. >> A temperate mind is crucial to avoiding a descent into despair. [music] >> I suppose being aware of oneself is a kind of temperance. No, knowing what drives you so you are able to control it. >> Indeed, it is. Heroes be blessed, Belmont, with the virtue of temperance. Is your courage the strength of stones? Rose. You have grown strong, Rose. But is your courage strong enough to face the Lord of Darkness? It is. Then prove it to me. For if you cannot defeat me, how will you defeat Dracula? >> Joan is now untainted by Dracula's control roles. She will be much more powerful this time. >> I wouldn't expect anything less. The time will take you. with your impure blood. [screaming] Then we'll blow in with your blood. Blade will take you will take you [screaming] will take You flame [screaming] >> courage marks you its champion Rose >> regrettably. But it is not only about knowing your enemy's strengths and weaknesses, but knowing your own as well. Isn't that right? >> Spoken like a true warrior. Rose, >> be blessed, Loris, with the virtue of courage. It appears as though you are more virtuous than you thought. How do you feel? >> Not very different, just clearer. >> It has been a while since your curse has affected you. >> Yes, it's true. There's someone here. You have stood in your own light and seen the shadowcast. What are you now? Prove you are ready to hunt the knight. Prove yourself. I'm out of here. Leave your laws or accept your limit. Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? Help me. You have conquered the darkness within, but are you enough to vanquish the darkness of the world? >> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Rose, mother. Remember, you may always overcome your darkness and therein find the light. [music] [music] >> [music] >> Rose, my daughter. Mother how I have so so many questions. You have overcome great obstacles. The shadow you were born with. But how? Why? Why are you here now after all this time? Because you you completed the cards I created for you. Do you see? Were never driven by darkness. But by love. >> Love? What do you mean, mother? No darkness without light. No hatred without love. A daughter's love. A love for humanity. To overcome the night, one must face it. and merge with the light. >> Rose, are you all right? >> Uneasy rests the heart that knows the truth. >> Rose, your curse. It's nearly gone. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. out. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Rose, before you go further, I wish to say something. Something profound [music] has changed within you. Since we met in the sewers, the darkness in your heart has ebbed. I feel as though I'm seeing the real you for the first time, untouched by your curse. What's more, you have shown me something I never thought I'd see. >> What's that? >> That every soul is not doomed. We may all rule over our shadows. Even me, once fallen to Dracula, could rediscover his soul again and emerge from the darkness. >> Every soul, Leon, you may have just saved the world from Dracula. >> You give me too much credit. It has been quite the journey, Rose. I am relieved we have made it this far. >> Yes. Now, let's finish it. Onwards to glory. Our end is nigh. [music] So the cursed Belmont approaches in humanity's death rows. It has no other champion but the woman who has my curse pulsing through her young veins. The first to bear witness that all will succumb to the night. >> I have come here to destroy you. Just like my father, mother, and their allies before me. >> They may have killed me once, and yet I remain. >> Not for much longer. I have discovered how we will banish you from this world forever. >> You speak with the empty arrogance typical of humanity. >> You believe humanity is doomed. But you're wrong. They can control the evil inherent in us all. They can conquer it. I am the proof. And if I can, anyone can. They can take control of the darkness you feed on that you need to exist. And once they do, you will no longer be able to walk the earth. You will be destroyed forever. >> That would require every human soul to learn what you claim to have done. No Bellemont could hope to achieve that in a lifetime. It is a fool's errand. That is why I will defeat you and begin the work. It may take decades, even centuries, but the world will learn that they can conquer their darkness. And the Belmonts will teach them how. This is what I pledge. The Belmonts will no longer only hunt the night. They will show humanity the dawn. >> Admirable Belmont, but meaningless. You may have conquered your darkness. But you have not conquered its king. into ashes. I have had enough. >> [screaming] >> That's it, Dracula. It's over. >> It is not over, Belmont. You may think you know the shadows that stride behind you or rise to meet you, but the dust of this form will show you true fear. You cannot slay the knight. We are You die. You will die. die. You can't escape from I am Rose Belmont And I will hunt the knight. >> Fool. You may have defeated my body, but my curse will ravage these lands like a plague. But it will not kill with pules and bubos, nor raging fever or mutilating malaise. It will embolden the malignance of men, women, and children until the wickedness you claim to have conquered returns me once more. >> The curse, I need to stop it, >> Rose. Mother, I don't know how to stop this curse. The guards, their power together. >> Your Arcana Rose, we can strengthen the power of your spell. >> If Black Rose will surely destroy the cards in the process of stopping Dracula's curse and sever the connection with her mother. It seems this is the price Rose must pay. Mother, I can't. But Rose, I am already gone. The cards rose and yourself. That's all you need to stop the curse. Light and darkness. >> My darkness does not control me. I will merge it with the light. >> A temperate mind. A prudent decision >> for a just end. >> You have shown great courage, Rose. >> Wait, Rose, you believe me? You know that you will lose the connection to your mother? >> Yes, I believe you, Medusa. Thank you for your help. All of you. It is you we must thank. Rose someday we will end this fight for good. >> What will happen to you? >> My soul will pass from this world as it ought to have centuries ago. I suspect other Arcana will too. Some may return to the abyss. But I can rest in peace thanks to you. Knowing that humanity and the Belmonts have hope. Farewell, Rose Belmont. >> Adear, Rose. >> Goodbye, Leon. Goodbye, everyone. Goodbye, mother. Goodbye, my daughter. What? How? >> Darkness. Light. Dracula. Belmont. If you've taught me anything, Dracula, it's this. Humanity may triumph over the evil within. And it is this choice that will forever be your weakness. >> So my curse is destroyed. But do not think I am gone forever, Belmont. You would do well to remember this. It does not take long to make a cemetery. A Yeah. [music] Heat. >> [music] >> I never thought I would see this day. Dracula defeated and your mother avenged. Yes, but also I never thought I would see a day where there is finally hope for everyone. I feel it will be a long time before we see [music] the gloom of Dracula return to this earth again. >> That'll give us time to show everyone how we'll defeat Dracula forever. I am sorry for what happened to your mother's cards. It's all right. They taught me the lesson I needed to learn. The lesson we all needed to learn. Up until now, my life has always been measured in anger and death. I think I ought to start measuring it by something else. Heat. Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. [music] >> [music] >> Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. [music] Heat. [music] Heat. Heat. Heat.
